FERTILITY TEST
- Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) stimulates the growth and development of egg-producing follicles in the ovaries. FSH production levels peak prior to ovulation and afterwards they return to normal.
- The Female Fertility Test is used to detect FSH levels on the third day of
a woman’s menstrual cycle in order to assess her Ovarian Reserve, i.e.
the ovaries’ capacity to produce healthy eggs.
Testing FSH levels helps to determine the causes of infertility (by evaluating the woman’s ovarian reserve). It is also often used to assess issues concerning irregular menstrual cycles as well as diagnosing pituitary gland disorders or diseases involving the ovaries.
